Monsters and Aliens

The world of plants is inhabited by strange and frightening beings

Despite all human efforts to destroy our planet, the world of plants is omnipresent.

We coexist and live in communion with it. It nourishes and surrounds us. It is familiar to us in that we can name and distinguish the visible parts of the plants. We enjoy their presence, their shapes and formations, their color. We grow them. We know, that they need water, light and nutrients from the soil. We research and measure the peculiarities of these life forms with scientific methods, constantly trying to learn more about them.

But we cannot really feel into them. We can only grasp a fraction of their coexistences, the complex alliances and fierce competitions for resources below and above ground. Yet there is something deeply alien about this world, that largely eludes our understanding.

It is cruel and beautiful at the same time. It is inhabited by beings to whom our existence is only a brief flicker in time, by Monsters and Aliens.
